Today’s baby photo is a sweet one. Baby reclines on a padded chair in a sweet infant dress. Typically all infants were dressed in long white dresses. This allowed for mothers to access diapers easily, and in some ways prevented children from learning to crawl early, as the dress skirts would hamper their movements. White dresses were used as they could be boiled & bleached to remove the various stains that come along with babies.
