Who Were They?

Lost and forgotten photos from the past

A lovely but fading photograph has been identified as Miss Anna Thiem (or Theim, or something else…), and dated June 14, ’92. You can see the lovely curls on the front of her head and fanciful frills on her dress. The studio was Thompson & Tyler of Pueblo, CO. I wasn’t able to find anything on these particular photographers at my usual sources.

    Marriage Date: 1 Jun 1893

Charles was a barber that lived in the same block and maybe building.

The Thompson brothere were color painters, whatever that might mean.

      1. Mrs Marvel says:

Many photographers started as artists, either in oils or watercolors. They saw photo portraiture as an extension of the oil paintings and miniatures of previous centuries.
