June is the month of graduations and weddings. Here we have a photo from the 1950s or 60s, showing a man in his graduation cap and gown, and a young girl. The photo is unidentified.
This naval commander was W. E. Johnston. I do not know what a CIC Officer is. Vintage 1955 is my guess. The photo is mounted on hard cardboard and the label with the name was placed directly onto the front of the photo. Any other identifying information on the back of the photo is lost.
Based on what Ed said on a previous post, these sailors are in their winter uniforms. This photo is from my favorite antique shop in Orange, CA. I’m guessing on a date of the 1940s. I love the smile on the sailor on the right.
