This snapshot shows three painters standing in front of a brick building. Perhaps they were painting the inside rooms. On the back was written “the painters” which makes me wonder if there were other tradesmen photographed for whatever project was taking place.
Who Were They? 
I wonder if this was for a civil works project in the 1930s to help combat the depression.

The painter on the far right looks almost like a statue to me.

That middle guy has a huge brush..yes most likely they were part of some kind of work crew:)
