Lost and forgotten photos from the past

This is a CdV of a small boy. We can tell because of the side parted hair and of course, he is all boy in the face. He is wearing a lovely infant dress with probably hand made lace along the bottom and at the sleeve hem. This photograph is likely from the 1870s, which we can tell by the rounded corners, which became popular because they were easier to put into photo albums. His cheeks were tinted by the photographer, a process which was done right after the photo was mounted on the card.

  1. His beautiful gown is spread just so on the chair..his Mother must have been very proud of her handwork! That chair is very interesting! :)
