Who Were They?

This nicely dressed little girl is the subject of today’s portrait. She sits with one leg folded over the other, hands resting on her crossed leg. I can’t tell the details of her dress very well, but note it is long sleeved. This would suggest the photograph was taken in fall or winter. She has sweet high-button boots on her feet. The mark in the center of her chest looks like a small bar pin holding down a lacy bib. Not a bib like a baby would need, but a bib front to the dress. Her cheeks were tinted just slightly by the photographer.
