Who Were They?

Lost and forgotten photos from the past

Here’s a cute child with a round face.

Baby is carefully posed on a wide chair, with one food folded under the other leg. The clothing looks well kept and nicely made. I can’t tell by the hair if this is a boy or a girl, unfortunately.

The photographer was Smith & Clarkson in Hastings, MI. Based on the square corners of the card, I’m putting this in the end of the 1860s, maybe 1868 or ’69.
